Yes it is very simple. I had a lot of songs in my itunes library but didn't want to use itunes anymore so I converted my purchases to mp3, then you just use file explorer on your computer and move the files from your computer to the device. For cds you own, you can use media player or still itunes will let you rip a CD to your computer, and then move those songs to the player.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can buy you will need to use winamp or foobar to rip your CDs to the format you want to load onto the Sony such as flac wave mp3 etcetera.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe there are third party software and apps that can rip a CD into a format that can be transferred to this device. If a streaming app such as Tidal cannot see the file, the Sony NW-A306 has its own music software installed on this device and should be able to see most file types. There should be Youtube videos that walk you through the process.
