Ask yourself this how many times does a company put out more stock after it says sold out, pretty much never. The stock was put out on the 24th because the East Coast reach that time first and as soon as the US hits midnight the product is allowed to be released. As long is one area in the US hits midnight they are allowed to sell and people on the West Coast that know about product releases are aware of this and it will be earlier on your side but technically it has reached the 24th in the US so therefore; it was released on time!
