I chatted with a virtual agent who stated due to Covid there won't be any midnight release or lottery to buy one like console or new releases in the past. They said to click on the "Save" option under the item which will act as a notification should it become available for online purchase again, but take that with a grain of salt... I did that originally and I found out about the preorders being up WAY before the notification email even came to me. Most likely may just have to wait outside on release day to see if you can get in and grab one. I'm having Nintendo Wii PTSD flashbacks already. Sony and retailers really mucked this one up this time.

I doubt it. If it’s like any other console release, Every store will be out of stock unless you pre-ordered. They almost never have them in stock on launch day.

I believe so. If not Best Buy, other locations like GameStop will. Online pre-orders are separated from in-store ones. Stores will receive their own supply of consoles at each location that are sold.

I would say most likely not.
There is supposed to be very limited stock on hand if any.
And, if there are, there will be the ones that camp for it. I would say the campers would easily take whatever spare stock is available.

Doubtful. Hot ticket item for Christmas and Sony said they’re shortage of 4 million chips will delay the already limited supply until after January. You may get lucky if the have a small number hit the store but they will go fast. It will be the One of the most demanded items for Christmas 2020.

if you were not able to preorder most likely no.. same thing happened to me when I didn't pre order the ps4 when it launched. You may get lucky or you may have to camp out unfortunately.

If you can’t place the pre-order, what makes you think you’ll find one in store the day it is released? It’s a game system, if I were you just wait a couple days after it is released. You have been waiting years to get it, waiting a bit more is no big deal.
