A:AnswerI think that system would result in groups of scalpers being able to use multiple accounts to buy out the waiting lists. Also, I don't believe they want to promise more consoles than they can reliably count on receiving. Almost every system has its drawbacks. Best Buy has been using a timed double-click add to cart function to combat bots. I do agree that an in-store sign up list would be the best solution though (would probably have to be limited to a few consoles per store though).
