• Must have? No. Very Very good to have? Absolutely. New controllers do NOT come with a charging cable. If they're supposed to then Sony has some serious Quality Control issues because NONE of my 3 spare Dual Sense controllers had a cable in the box.

• According to specs, the PS5 console itself has a charging cable for the controller, so... if you don't have an extra generic cable to charge a second controller, then you will be limited to charging one DualSense controller at a time from the PS5-included cable. I'm definitely considering getting one when I get a second controller.

• No, The controller for the PS5 will come with a USB charging cable just like your PS4 controller did.
