Hi Adambond, Thank you for your inquiry. The SRS-XB23 can be used with the SRS-XB43 via the Party Connect function. This gives you better bass, incredible soundstage, and versatility. However, the connection does not differentiate the signal sent to each device. It sends the same signal to each, and the difference in sound is the result of the speakers themselves. By connecting multiple devices (up to 100 devices) compatible with the Party Connect function, you can liven up parties with loud volume.
