A:AnswerHi Vita,
Thank you so much for your inquiry. We do not disclose wattage and here is why.
Over the years we have seen posting such numbers results in a spec contest. Specs, and yes even watts can be measured in different ways. For example, receivers take a look at the wattage, then see a number of speakers driven, and distortion rates. All of which vary greatly. Also, watts do not tell you how efficient the drivers are, or any of the components that help the speaker sound great. Thus, telling an incomplete story.
Instead, we strive to make the best sounding speaker, that is rugged, water & dustproof, and has a long battery life. All of the things our customers have told us really matter to them. Thank you kindly for your understanding.
Regards,
Carl

A:AnswerHello. As far as I know you have to do updates through the iPhone or Android app called "Music Center", which get at the app store for free.
Here are the update instructions:

A:AnswerHi fizgid, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, you can. The SRSXB43 features 3 different sound effects which can be adjusted through the buttons of the speaker (STAMINA, EXTRA BASS, and LIVE SOUND) . This function is also available on the Sony Music Center app. Additionally, you can use the app's equalizer function to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs.

A:AnswerHi JJDubba, Good question. If the built-in battery is fully charged (using a BLUETOOTH connection), it can last for about 24 hours provided that the the volume level of the speaker is set to 31, the lighting function is set to off, and the sound effect is set to STAMINA. For more information about the battery life of this speaker, please refer to this link:https://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb43/v1/en/contents/TP0002741481.html . And yes, it can be charged in a car. However, it may take longer to charge them with the provided charger. Hope this helps! Regards, -Sam
A:AnswerHi Taunya,
Thank you for your inquiry!
Many manufacturers use different methods of determining watts, and thus makes it more of a marketing gimmick than a useful way to compare. This is why wattage is not a public specification that we disclose at this time. As an audio loving company, Sony strives to give you the best sounding speakers.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl
A:AnswerHi bruceoncentral, Thank you for your inquiry. The SRSXB43 can be paired wirelessly through Bluetooth A2DP connection or using the Audio IN port through a commercially available audio cable however, it can only be paired to one Bluetooth device at a single time. Please check if your TV supports these connections. Please note that if you connect an audio cable to the AUDIO IN jack, the output from the device connected to the AUDIO IN jack has priority, and you will not hear the sound from the BLUETOOTH device.
For more information on this, please check our help guide links: https://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb43/v1/en/contents/TP0002741490.html?search=cable (connecting using a commercially available audio cable)
https://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb43/v1/en/contents/TP0002741485.html (to connect using bluetooth)
I hope this helps.

Carl
