“Can the base be adjusted? I have an issue with loud base and it actually hurts my ears. I would prefer no to very minimal base possible.”

Hi fizgid, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, you can. The SRSXB43 features 3 different sound effects which can be adjusted through the buttons of the speaker (STAMINA, EXTRA BASS, and LIVE SOUND) . This function is also available on the Sony Music Center app. Additionally, you can use the app's equalizer function to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. I hope this helps. Regards, Carl

There is no base adjustment. It has plenty of bass so if that’s an issue I wouldn’t recommend this for you. Sony is known for more base than other brands. You would probably be best to go into Best Buy and listen to a few others to be safe

Yes! Use the downloadable music center app. Settings, Sound, BASS/Mid/TRE, and adjust as you see fit. Or power your speaker into Stamina mode to turn off extra bass mode and extend the battery of your device.
