Yes it should, but depending how big also. I use it at work where there is a lot of noise an it works great. Sony is one i like cause of balance of treble an bass, an in the app you can also change those settings.

We can tell you the XB43 does get very loud, and the built in tweeters will help you get great vocal clarity. I would recommend leaving the XB43 plugged in during the movie to get max volume, and using the Sony music center app. In the app you can adjust the sound quality and bring up the highs, and mids (voice) up on the built in EQ to suit your needs. Depending on the size and acoustics of the room, a second XB43 could be paired to give you better room coverage. In fact you can add up to 100 total units if you felt the need. You may also want to consider the Sony SRSXP500, this is a much larger speaker and would work great for larger rooms. It can be placed on its side, or just stand up in by the screen playing the movie. Obviously it may be more difficult to take in and out of the classroom, if you don’t plan on leaving it in there. Like the XB43, you can add up to 100 of these together. Hope this helps, -Carl
