A:AnswerHi UniversalChip,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, this AV receiver only supports antenna for FM radio not for television.
The STRDH790 receiver supports the latest three-dimensional surround sound formats including Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, drawing you into the middle of the action you see on screen. And with 4K Ultra HD picture quality, and support for all major HDR formats including Dolby Vision, your viewing experience will be transformed.
Regards,
David
A:AnswerIt should be fine with your existing speakers. If you now have a subwoofer, 2 front, 2 rear and center speakers connected this will work. This receiver can be configured for 5.1/5.2 as well as 7.1/7.2. I am not an audiophile for sure, but it sounds great especially with dual subs.
A:AnswerI had this issue too. Right out of the box first time use. I was about to return it! What i did was disconnect all the speaker cablea and re connected them. I made sure they were properly connected and tight. This immediately fix the issue. Now it has not turning off and i can watch my movies! Hope this helps.
A:AnswerCheck the troubleshooter in manual and online. Some surround formats do not use center channel. It took me a week to adjust my 5.1 speakers to satisfaction.
A:AnswerHi Chris,
Thank you for the information. If your TV supports HDMI ARC then this AV receiver will definitely work. Please check the specification of your unit.

David
A:AnswerIt has tons of features, including the calibration mic and ability to adjust to any speaker set up 7.2 and below...So if you have less than the full 7.2 it will be great. Also it's a small unit but has all the bells and whistles and with 145w per channel enough power for any speaker. I think you'll be happy with this receiver compared to any higher end that's double the price.
A:AnswerHi dhcjr,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, that's part of a normal operation of the AV receiver if it's connected via HDMI ARC. We appreciate the feedback and thank you for understanding.

David
A:AnswerHi revracer23,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, it does not support volume limit. We recommend turning up and down the volume using the master volume in the front panel of the unit.

David
A:AnswerHi Addy,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, you can only play audio using the wired speakers connected to the AV receiver. Bluetooth speakers are not recommended with any Sony AV receivers.

A:AnswerHi Paul,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, this AV receiver does not support A+B switch and zoning function. We recommend our STR-DN1080 if you want to switch audio from different set of speakers.

David
A:AnswerHi BamaMan,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, you can only connect maximum of 7 speakers. The "two" in 7.2 channel is labeled for subwoofer meaning you can connect 7 speakers and 2 subwoofers.
