“Our AV receiver is hooked with our Sony Bravia 900 thru Arc. Everything has synced well with audio on all. The problem is when we watch tv and press select/play on DirecTV remote it turns on the AV speakers. We do not wish to run all the time. Help”

Thank you for your assistance, David. At this time we are running the Directv thru the tv HDMI and then the arc HDMI between tv and receiver. We would like to run the tv and receiver audio seperatley so the AV is not on all the time. But the second we press the select or play button on DTV remote it triggers the AV to come on. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

If so, Press SPEAKERS on the receiver repeatedly to select the front speaker system then select “OFF SPEAKERS" “OFF” and “SPEAKERS” appear alternately on the display panel. No audio signals are output from any speaker terminals.
