I have a STRDH790 and it started doing the same thing. I go through the entire setup process including using the microphone to calibrate. Works a couple of days then goes back to menu coming up each time.
I'm puzzled, I may try new HDMI cable.

I don't know if it's any better but if you change the input on the receiver it goes away also.
