Hi, in my opinion, this replacement is not an apple to apple event. The BDV is a home theater system with its own set of speakers/connectors which is not compatible with the STRDH790 which is only a reciever and best suits for just the replacement of a receiver with standard speaker connections. This assumes you have standard speakers (not the ones that comes with the BDV) that can connect to the STRDH790 if not you will most likely have to buy new speakers.
