QuestionI have a Sony S Master digital amplifier. From 10 years ago ... would this home theater be compatible with my speakers the ports look different but wonder if way around that ? Or do I need to just upgrade to new system ?

- Answer Hi Nikki, You can connect speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. More than 16 or less than 6 will not work with this AV receiver. QuestionWhat FM antenna would work with this unit? And should it be powered or no?

- Answer I tried hooking one of those thin HDTV antennas up but reception was not great. I was missing several stations and some came in but were inconsistent. I had an old analog rabbit ears antenna from the '90's and hooked it up. Reception is fantastic. I ended up hiding the rabbit ears in the tv stand so it is not visible but still works. Hope that helps.

- Answer On your remote click on the Amp Menu button. Scroll down until you see EQ displayed on the reciever . Select EQ and it will allow you to increase the front bass and so forth. scale of 0-8 8 being the highest bass level

QuestionCan it's remote be programmed to operate an older Sony CD changer? Also, would a MP3 player require a preamp like the turntable would? I am not hearing much volume from my mp3.

- Answer Hi Grover, No, every Sony remote uses a different remote code. We strongly recommend using the supplied remote for each audio system we have. Are you trying to connect an MP3 player directly to the receiver? You can use 3.5mm headphone jack for audio connection. Regards, David

- Answer The only way to do this would be to run your devices directly to your TV. It just means more cabling and losing the HDMI switching of the receiver but it doable . I do this on my Onkyo that the HDMI board went bad on
