It is MultiRegion, even though I haven’t tested any other discs besides US-1. Not sure about sound codecs; but most certainly upscale the regular DVDs as well as Blu-ray Discs to 4K beautifully.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This player is not multiregion. The audio versions both work if you have a compatible home audio system. Yes it upscales, but that is limited to some degree by the quality of your source media and your attached television. In other words, you cannot play a DVD in this player on a non-4K TV and expect nor receive true 4K UHD playback. Nor can you make a silk purse from a sow’s ear. There are multiregion players out there on the internet, but my experience is that those have been altered by the retailer, not the manufacturer.
