“Are there issues with the CEC/Bravia Sync out of the box? Mine is connected to my Sony XBR-65X850D with HDMI control enabled. It will power off when the TV does as normal, but it's not even in the "sync List" of the TV. I've reset both units to no avail.”

I have experienced the same thing with my new Sony XBR=55X900E TV. I get the Bravia Synch as you do even though the TV doesn't see my UBP-X800 player. However, it does see my older Sony HTCT-350 soundbar which connects my UBP-X800 to my Bravia TV.
