“It says this Sony 4k dvd player will decode Dolby Atmos, but I just found out my Sony receiver doesn't. Since the player will decode the Atmos will the receiver accept it and pass it through as Atmos or change it to something else?”

It may, but it’s a piece of junk and it locks up and won’t respond and you have to unplug it to reset it several times a week. Read my review. Sony knows of the problem but won’t fix it. I’m trying to warn people. Unreal at this price point. Buy something else!!!!
