I can't answer your technical question however I can tell you that I'm very disappointed with this player. The lack of accessible apps is extremely frustrating. I am forced to use my smart tv for apps other than Netflix & Prime and in doing so I lose connectivity to my surround sound system which is run through a receiver and connected to my smart home built in speakers. I am hiring a sound tech to try and solve the problem. The player in general is okay but I would give 2 stars for what it lacks.
