A: I have this player (UBP X800 M2) and I asked Sony customer service about that, and unfortunately, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video, is all they support right now, but did say it would be possible for further support with an update, but couldn't confirm that such update would be coming at any point. Fingers crossed it will, but honestly, you're buying this player for disc playback and it's awesome. Quality is amazing and with all the settings on Auto, I'm getting Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. No need to mess around with the settings or any of that. I have a Roku Ultra for other streaming services.

A: The M2 supports Dolby Vision.
Q: will the UPB-X800M2 playback SACDs?
A: SACD’S? Absolutely! The X800M2 is one of the few disc spinners today that do. The only thing it does not have in regard to SACD’s, is 7.1 channel analog outs like the old Oppo machines, but surround sound can still be handled nicely by HDMI if your sound system is capable of reproducing either 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. Good luck and enjoy your machine.

I was in the market to get a new DVD player. My old one broke. I was surprised how much they went up by because it’s been several years since I’ve had one but if you want a great DVD for a reasonable price this is the one to get and for those that say that it freezes up when you Play DVDs or whatever just plug in a Internet cord and you’re good. I haven’t had one issue playing Netflix or my DVDs on this DVD player. I have played 100 dvds in this blue ray player Great buy thank you sony and it works great with my sound bar

I recently purchased the Sony 4K Blu-ray disc player, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! This player has enhanced my movie-watching experience to a whole new level. With its built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, I can easily stream my favorite movies and other content in breathtaking high quality. One feature that impressed me is the super quick start mode. Whether it's a movie night with friends or a solo binge-watching session, this player keeps up with my pace effortlessly. One of the standout qualities of this Sony 4K Blu-ray disc player is its dual HDMI outputs. It enables me to connect it simultaneously to my LG C1 65-inch TV and another screen, making it a perfect match for my home theater setup. The picture quality is stunning, and the colors truly come to life on my TV. I can confidently say that I love this Sony 4K Blu-ray disc player and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional streaming and movie-watching experience. It's a reliable and user-friendly device that enhances both picture and sound quality, ensuring every movie night is a memorable one.

First off, great player overall that is very capable. Aesthetics are nice too. The simplistic minimalist approach. These are all positives. Now come the downsides, which was a disappointment when having a CD/SACD/DVD music listening session and the native features this player provides. The biggest downside, no control buttons in the front other than power on and eject! I would rather the manufacturer place simple tiny round buttons like the Panasonic DP-UB9000 at this price point. It would sooo help not having to reach for the remote just to play, pause, stop, forward, search, etc. Remote and streaming connectivity is good. A bit slow with reading, tray opening and closing, and other reactive controls, especially this day and age. With regards to streaming, very minimalist approach again with only Netflix, YouTube and maybe one more. Not a purposely built streamer which is fine by me since I use Apple TV anyway. But it is nice to have addition that handy at times. It would have a great bonus had Sony developed it a bit more to act as a good replacement for the Apple TV though for those who don't use the Apple ecosphere and to sell more Sony related services or products that replace a standalone streamer for sure!
