“If I have this DVD player Ethernet hard wired in one room and in another I have a Samsung TV on wireless (same network) can I watch what the DVD? It’s not a permanent set up, I plan to hook up HDMI and TV to Ethernet eventually”

No, it will only play to a TV connected by an HDMI cable. It can not play to a TV over your network.
