“I've read a lot of great comments about this player but keep reading comments about limited support for streaming apps. Can you tell me if it will allow me to use the YouTubeTV streaming app. If so,I think i'm sold.”

Don't really know as we also have a Sony Smart TV and use it for streaming. But I do think it should. We really do like the player.
