- Answer Yes, this is the one Sony indicates will be used by the a7R Mark III once it is released. Just remember, Best Buy stores will usually have the other battery grips in stock, but this a9 (and a7R iii) battery grip usually have to be ordered. Also, take advantage of their current buy 3 camera accessories and get 25% off sale, since those Z batteries are not cheap.

- Answer No. You need to buy the batteries. I just used the one that came with my camera and bought another OEM battery.

- Answer Better grip for larger hands. Easy to move to portrait shooting because of the extra shutter button. Combining 2 batteries will last longer.

- Answer No, it will not work on the 6000 series. Sony does not make a grip for the 6000 series, you will have to go 3rd party for a grip on that series.
