It’s a projector so it will work, but there is probably much better units for outdoors. This is only 2000 lumans so the ambient light outside will wash out the picture and you will look all the benefits of the 4K.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You can easily set this unit on a table. Use it's leveling feet to adjust if needed. The default settings out of the box is for a table-setup (top side up). Throw distance should be 10-20 feet. Use the lens shift dials to adjust image to match your screen. The only concerns would be the same with any projector used outside. You would want to cover it or put in storage when not in use. If your boat is on the ocean, the salt water would be hard on things, but I'm sure you already know that. The unit comes with a lens cap to protect it's lens when not in use.
