Do I HAVE to wait 4 hrs before using out of the box? null

No. The battery life is also ridiculously amazing. I have charged it fully and let it sit for weeks. Battery life was still fully charged.

If I recall correctly, you do need to wait 4 hours for them to fully charge. You cannot use them while they are charging either. The charge doesn't last as long as I would like, but these are such good headphones, it's ok.

The buds come charged for immediate use!
