Should the issue with cracks keep me from buying these headphones? My QC15s have been perfect for 2 years but I want to upgrade. After testing these and the QC35s I prefer the Sony, but I want quality that will hold up on my trips. How big is the issue? null

They come with a case for transport and storage. Probably wouldn't recommend them if you aren't going to use the case. The case is solid though and protects the headphones. You won't have any issues if you use it.

Only had em for a short time so can’t comment on long term durability... get the protection plan if it’s a priority.
