Has Sony fix the issue of headband cracking and squeaking noise from the earlier model Sony mdr1000x? null

Mine are squeaking. Comes from above the joint of the earbuds. Enough so that I can hear it when listening to low volume music with noise cancelling.

This is Sony's answer on Amazon: "Hi Amazon Customers, We got some feedback about MDR1000X’s headband and have already taken measures for WH-1000XM2 includes improved design and materials. -Jerome 
By Sony Support USA on September 27, 2017" They didn't talk about squeaking noise though.

I haven't get this cans yet because it's not available in India. But Sony claims that a change in the materials used for the headband and ear enclosures has resulted in a finish that looks more gun metal or bluey/grey. So I think it could have addressed cracking issues.
