“Can these headphones work as noise cancelling without having to be connected to the phone (like the Bose)?”

• Yes, noise cancelling turns on whether or not Bluetooth is connected. It turns on by default when you power on the headphones and there is a button to toggle it on/off.

• I don’t know about the Bose, but I have the Sony headphones on right now with the noise canceling on and no Bluetooth connection. The noise canceling is working perfectly.
