Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The USB port is out only and as others have said, will not charge the unit- but can be used to power other devices. Lesson learned though- it has an automatic off feature after 15 minutes of inactivity so if you try to use the USB to power other devices or to connect to an AI unit like echo Alexa, it will automatically disconnect power supply to the USB connected device- even when the speaker is plugged in to the wall plug. Comes from the factory with the auto shut off feature turned on. Have to go to the online user manual and follow directions to turn the auto shut off feature off to use with an AI. Nice crisp sounding speaker... but inconvenient that the box instructions do not bother to detail this auto shut off feature.
