A:AnswerI had the same question as I had just purchased a Samsung 65" KS8000 SUHD Smart TV, and I had been told at Best Buy that these B/T headphones would not work with my set. Lo and behold, I am glad they were wrong!
Once I set the Audio output to BlueTooth in settings, it immediately paired with my brand new red Sony headphones, and a message popped up asking me to confirm using them for audio output....it couldn't have been easier, and works brilliantly!
As soon as I turn the headphones off, the sound returns to the TV speakers automatically!
Since I live in an apartment complex, it's imperative I have good headphones for my movie watching, and I could not be happier with both Samsung and Sony!
A:AnswerThe pair I received were new in box. The box was sealed like it came from the factory. No scratches, everything intact. I know that Best Buys does offer Open Box and Refurbished items but, these were new.
A:AnswerWe have always bought insurance with the head phones because those type of problems seem to happen. If you don't have insurance than go to the Sony Dealer in your area (should be able to find over the internet) or any audio repair store and compare the repair costs with buying a new head phones and this time getting insurance that will automatically replace them in the first two years (likely to happen) if broken.
A:AnswerThe headphones are all metal construction with the CUSHY ear covers done in leather or a leather type product. The head band is metal also but the crown part is covered in a cushy 5" long material like the ear covers. This headphone is very comfortable for prolonged wear.
A:AnswerI would say the noise reduction is not very well. As in if you are listening to 100 dB outside, you'll hear about 80-90 (totally just guessing). They are not meant for noise reduction. They are supposed to provide good crisp music.
If you want a good noise reducing headset, I strongly recommend the Samsung or the Bose brands. They are both at bestbuy (I almost bought them, too). But, they are in the 299+ range (unless they're on sale), and I would say it's a different category than these headphones.

A:AnswerNo that is not the case at all. I think they actually sound better with the cable connected not sure but there may be less compression going on? Of course it's not very convenient to use them that way compared to wireless.
A:AnswerUnless the TV has ability to connect via Bluetooth (I'm not familiar with which model you have) the only way you can connect headphones to ANY tv is via physical 1/8" headphone jack and/or included RCA to 1/8" headphone jack adaptor. Still wired application.
