“Why cant i preorder this for pickup just like my previous sony xperia 1? i dont like having expensive items being delivered at my place only to be stolen. If i cant pick up at bestbuy i'll just use amazon and have it delivered at a locker.”

I don't think they have enough in stock and don't want to put out that information. I pre-ordered this item over a month ago and has been delayed without an update for over a week and can't cancel or receive a refund until the new expected shipping date. I would avoid ordering this device from best buy.
