Does the phone allow xfer of files using USB cable? I tried from two laptops (windows) using a USB cable but I couldnt get the files onto my phone. I didnt want to use wifi for xfer. null

Yes, when you connect the phone to a computer it gives you a few options, one of them is transfer files. Then you will find it in "My Computer" as another device.

Did you enable file transfer in the phone. Once you have it connected it will show a USB icon in the upper left corner of your phone screen. If not, may be you need t check the cable or activate manually the USB connection for file transfer (Google it)
