• I haven't used them this way but they do have an outdoor noise-canceling mode and you can tune the equalizer to get the best sound quality.

• They do a decent job in ANC. My neighbor had the mower going and they did OK. I could still hear it but I was still able to appreciate the podcast. They may not be the best, but then again, we can't compare to headsets that are 4 times more expensive. Hope that helps!

• Great for all of those things and more, as long as you want to shut the world out. You can use the pass through feature if you absolutely must interact with other humans though. But that's optional.
