• Fluid is quieter and the resistance feels slightly more realistic than magnetic. For example, when you stop pedaling, a magnetic trainer will cause the real wheel to suddenly stop, whilst a fluid trainer will have the wheel roll to a stop.

• Fluid trainers are usually quieter and better for an indoor environment. Colleague experience has also said they last longer.
