• Blu-rays Take an incredible amount of abuse before scratches would appear. If you were that concerned about it, either view the digital copies or buy empty Blu-ray cases to house the disks separately

• Tough to predict. Probably not, if you keep the sleeves pretty clean. The concern I was having was with fingerprints. You're pretty much forced to grip the disc at the edge to remove it, and I found myself having to wipe off smudges pretty much every time. It shouldn't affect the longevity of the disc, but it is fairly annoying.
