Why is the physical 36$? null

The physical version is a limited print, meaning that they only made a small number of physical copies.

Because Nintendo decided it should be.

Because they're hoping some kids mom doesn't know any better. Buy it on digital. It's cheaper, and this is the kind of game you want on your switch at all times and not fumbling to insert a cartridge.
