• The MDP2DPMM6 is a passive Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter and will work on any devices which utilizes this connection type. However, the MDP2DPMM6 does not support 3840x1440 @ 144 hz since this resolution / refresh rate exceeds the limitation of the MDP2DPMM6's bandwidth. Atha, StarTech.com Support

• I didn't have any luck with this on my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. I am not sure if the problem was the cord or the monitor I was trying to use. Sorry I don't have better info.
