• Yes, the wireless transmitter is USB, but PS4 only outputs 2 channels over USB, so surround audio is not possible.

• It should but it does not, I could not get it to work at all, the Sony Gold wireless headsets sound better than these.

• From what I read in the manual, you can only hook up this headset via cord directly to the controller.

• They either don't know how or don't have access to use the 7.1 signal via USB. It's obviously possible with the PS gold and platinum both having 7.1. It does have a USB adapter similar to both of those except the Arctic is on a cord instead of a small dongle.
