If you have the dongle plugged into the Xbox the sound will still come out of the TV with or without the headset on, not sure about connecting another headset as well.

Yes if these are off the xbox will send sound through TV like normally. Can even have it where the person playing a game can hear theough headset, and other people can hear tv if need be.

The headset is linked to one console and controller at a time as long as you plug the adapter cord that wirelessly sends a signal to the headset and is synced with the controller you should be good no issues if it does just reset or have a update through your console

Hello! As long as the headset is not on, the audio would go directly to your television ( or any other audio device).
