• No, it must be an MHL rated port. MHL ports include additional power that the stick needs to function on. The standard HDMI stick uses a separate power cord (source) for it to function. Make sure you have an MHL port on your TV prior to purchasing this one.

• MHL streaming stick only work with MHL input, if u need the one for HDMI, Roku have another streaming stick for HDMI input

• No, it only works in the purple MHL port. There is a HDMI version stick though.
