Is this compatible with the Nikon D5100?? null

Don't know about that specific model, but it works with my Sony camcorder from the 80's, recent Samsung 360 camera & new Panasonic camcorder. The connection point has a fat little screw that attaches to the bottom of your camera. The bottom of my camcorders have a little divet with threads that the tripod screw fits perfectly. This tripod is sturdy enough for my current needs. I feel the connection point with my equipment is solid. I'm very pleased with this product for the $. Hope this helps.
