Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately your teacher doesnt know what they are tslking about Depending on what tripod you get is going to depend on If it's made of plastic or not they carry a variety of tripods from entry level to advanced A teacher probably want you to go to a store where they get a discount
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is plastic. I used it outside for a lunar eclipse and had no movement with wind, but it wasn't Gale force.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took my tripod out in Chicago winds and upper east cost winds (on the water) and had no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a very sturdy product, but as I am a newbie I would assume any and all tripods would blow and/or fall down in the wind if not anchored properly. My advice is to do more research, but this one is really great; what I like the most about it is the pistol handle....it makes rotating the camera very easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Invest in a better tripod. It is cheap and would only work indoors, in my opinion.
