This is a response to the previous answer. The retractable rod actually pops into a hole on some camcorders. My guess is either for alignment or stability.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is compatible , the threaded screw and spring loaded stud are both used with video cameras. If your camera has one threaded hole the spring one just pushes flat against bottom of camera .

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as it can be mounted on the 1/4" screw then yes the other thing is not a screw it retracts into the plate not sure on it's actual purpose.
