Does the digital version (through Best Buy) come with a Piranha Plant code? I purchased it on 12/25 and still have not received the Piranha Plant code... null

There was a deadline that you must register your copy of SSBUltimate in order for you to receive your code. This should have been mailed to your email that is connected to your Nintendo username/Nintendo Switch.

You needed to link your switch to a Nintendo account and then they should’ve emailed you a code. I don’t know if it’s still available, but give Nintendo a call and I’m sure they would be glad to help.

The latest patch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrived, and it's a big one. Version 2.0.0 is available to download now. Everyone who registers their game by January 31 gets Piranha Plant for free, while the character will be available for everyone to buy at a later date. 

So if you didn't register your game before the 31st you won't be able to recieve Piranha plant.
