• A:Answer Yes, but the price might make you give it a try. It's easier than i thought it would be, getting wires from A to B unseen is hardest part. Wood trim or painting wires color of house will blend them in. Use existing cable line holes, trim, or let hang lol.

Q: QuestionCan the length of time recorded for motion detection be adjusted? Ie. Most come set to only record 15 seconds after a motion is detected. Can this time be adjusted?

Q: QuestionI see that the minimum operating temperature on these cameras is -4F degrees. What will happen if it gets colder that? I live in an area that gets down to -30 degrees Fahrenheit.

Q: QuestionThere are LED Light bulbs shown as normally bought with the camera system (Swann SWDVK-1645810WL-US). Are the lights attached to the cameras, if so, is their light projected like a flood light in direction the camera is set, & how are the lights powered

• A:Answer The lights are an integral part of the cameras. They can be set to go on if motion is detected and may also be turned on manually from the phone app by simply tapping the light bulb icon. They are not extremely bright but they can illuminate a stair well fo instance and will then record and dislpay in color. Being integral to the camera, they point wherever thwe camera is pointing. They are powered through the cable by the camera power supply.

• A:Answer The length of time the recordings are kept depends on what recording options you select for each camera. I have 9 cameras inside set to trigger on motion and heat and one outside to trigger on just motion. The outside camera records almost constantly at night due to the dust particles it "sees" with the IR sensor. This happens with most cameras. You can decrease the sensitivity but then you risk not triggering on real motion. With this setup I am getting about 30 days before the recording are overwritten on the disk. If you don't have any outside cameras then you will probably get more than 30 days again depending on how much activity goes on inside. I haven't experimented with disabling recording on the outside camera to see if I can get more than 30 days. I believe you can use a USB memory stick to manually transfer the recordings but I haven't tried that yet.
