I am not sure if this is misinformation or not. After receiving the information I contacted the company and they said they do not send a notification when offline. Someone needs to confirm this information and something to back it up. I’m getting 2 different stories.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, in the event of an outage you will be notified that the cameras has gone offline. We would recommend connecting your recorder to a back up generator to ensure you do not miss an event.
