Keep in mind, since these cameras will operate over Wi-Fi, it is important that your camera be placed in an area where the connection is not likely to be interrupted. On the other hand, wired systems are less likely to be interrupted by Wi-Fi signal issues. Wired cameras transmit video signals through a cable connection to a central hub such as DVR or NVR. One of the advantages of a wired system is that the feed to your recorder remains safe and reliable. Wireless systems send footage from cameras through a Wi-Fi connection. Some advantages of wireless systems are easy and clean installation but the signal may be limited based on your home's Wi-Fi.
