• This system uses coaxial cable, I was able to use my existing cameras and cables with this system.

• They are coax with a parallel cable for power. I tried a basic coax and separate power supply to one camera and it did not work. Granted, I only tried for a minute just for the heck of it. But still...coax and not RJ45
