Documents say NVR systems require Ethernet cables such as CAT5e and CAT6... any problems or things to consider with using flat CAT7 or CAT8 cables? null

CAT 7 and CAT 8 is fully backwards compatible with CAT 5e/CAT 6 cables and should work just fine. This system comes with low grade ethernet cables that don't even feel like they are proper twisted pair. If I had long enough ethernet cables to replace theirs with, I would absolutely do that and might see some improvement.
