A:AnswerIt’s really stupid that they can’t give any solid date or time. I’ve been refreshing the page practically every hour for the last 5 days. Enough already
A:AnswerBestBuy isn't doing anything other than selling Nintendo's product at it's MSRP. It's unlikely they're making any more money on it than they do the $299 Switch. AS far as Nintendo setting the MSRP the difference in cost is less than 17% from the standard Switch. That's a relatively minor price difference so you get relatively minor improvements. For people who play handheld, especially in brightly lit environments, it may be a significant improvement. For anyone who plays mostly docked, this product probably isn't for you.
It is a bit disappointing that the processing wasn't improved in this version (it probably would have been $400+ if it had). But there are a lot of good reasons that may not have been an option. Including the fact that there is a significant global hardware electronic component shortage, the base Switch model is selling about as fast as they can make it, and about 28 million people have bought a base model or switch lite in the last year, coming out with a new model that has exclusive games or can play existing games significantly better may really frustrate those customers.
