Hmm.. Nintendo never said it was limited, and was never confirmed. People keep arguing wether if it is just a special edition or limited edition. No one knows for sure what type of edition it is, and if they would restock, it will most likely be after the whole COVID-19 thing is over.

Hi. I had the same question so I reached out directly to Nintendo through their online chat and they said that it was a limited-time item and they only created 1 batch. Therefore, no stores are getting any restock of them. They sell them until they sell out and then that is it. Very disappointing news for me since unfortunately, I missed out on getting one.
